Oldest pub in Glossop, situated in the old part of the town, very nice and pretty part of Glossop overlooking the church. Pub is typical locals' pub with TV, pool table, etc. Spent one Sunday night here on day of Glossop Derby at Wembley. Couldn't really fault it except for bit of noise outside late on, but that was only because the coach got back from Wembley and our room was over the front door. Really impresssed with rooms, beautifully decorated in Mocha and fuscia with new furniture, flat screen TV and comfy beds. Decent en-suite with good shower and nice fluffy towels. Breakfast plentiful and well cooked, served in upstairs dining room which was also clean and well-decorated.

Just spent a really good night at the Bull’s Head. It is in the heart of Old Glossop - a very picturesque Peak District village – it has commanding views over the old church and the hill beyond.

Breakfast itself was very good and generous with plenty of extra tea, toast etc. we left for a day’s walking having been offered bottles of water, cereal bars and fruit to take with us.

Barbara who runs the B&B side was really friendly and welcoming

Downstairs is an unspoilt pub serving Robinson’s real ales in very good condition. The locals were friendly and welcoming and it was a lovely...
