We stayed at Meadowcroft for two nights, taking in a weekend race meeting.We were delighted with the accommodation which was very clean and spacious, with super king size beds! Sue and Simon were excellent hosts, nothing being too much trouble for them, and Sue even ensured we had bookings with two local restaurants for evening meals. We will certainly visit...

Sue and Simon welcome you to Meadowcroft Bed & Breakfast, a short walk away from the bustling ancient market square of Thirsk in North Yorkshire, with a range of independent shops,cafes,bars,Racecourse and of course The World of James Herriot. Built in 1937, Meadowcroft is a large, comfortable family home retaining many of its original features. Meadowcroft is set in over half an acre of well stocked mature gardens and we have ample off street parking on our spacious driveway. Breakfast consists of locally sourced (and our own home made)produce, we cater for special diets including gluten free.We have free Wi-Fi for our customers - all of our rooms have en-suite or private bathroom facilities.Thirsk is ideally situated for visits to The Yorkshire Dales and Moors, we are also very close to the TDF2014 route, with 'Le Grand Depart' in 2014,Leeds approx 35 mins by car.
