Outstanding views! We were so impressed by not only the views but also by the friendliness and comfort of the room we decided to stay a second night. The only issues was that there is not a reasonably priced grocer in the town of Shelter Cove. If you decide to stay at this lovely Inn, bring snacks and dinner with... More

My husband and I went here with our kids( ages 10 and 8) and we had the best time! The rooms are cozy and clean with enough space for the kids to stretch out. You cant ask for a more beautiful view of the ocean, right from your own room. Going to sleep every night to the sound of the... More

This was our first stop on a road trip from San Francisco to Portland via the Lost Coast of California. I could not have asked for more: quiet, beautiful, clean, w/ fireplace and killer view .. it was perfect. In retrospect I wish we had stayed for a 2nd night. In the morning we got coffee at the cafe on... More

Inn of the Lost Coast is the most amazing place to relax, find peace in your heart and soul, and where you can listen to the waves talk to you. The ocean is right out your back door, every room has the best view. Since our friends told us about this place we have visited Shelter Cove almost every year... More

After a flight to SF and a beautiful drive up the Shelter Cove, we turned on a very windy road, and ended up on a cliff over looking the pacific ocean. our room was just gorgeous with a view of the ocean, had a fireplace and a kitchen. My friend even seen a whale and her baby early in the... More

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights here. Shelter Cove and this Inn have always been one of my favorites. The rooms are spacious, staff super friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. If you want a relaxing place out of the way from all the tourists, this is the place to... More

This isn't a bad place to stay. Our corner room had great light and the veranda is private with the ocean crashing right outside...views for miles. Problem is there are much better places to stay...Tides Inn for example. Our room at Inn of the Lost Coast compared weakly in every way with our room at the Tides Inn. We stayed... More

I had the best time visiting the Lost Coast and staying at this very friendly hotel right on the ocean! The staff and front desk personel were so friendly and nice. They helped me with seeing the best sites at Shelter cove and the surrounding areas. When I needed extra towels, voila, they were there in a flash. I just... More

250 dollars a night and the room and the view are almost worth it...we would stay again if the managers or owners (who knows) weren't so rude. the service was horrid they were beyond rude. The room was 4 star the service was trailer park all the way.

We arrived into town late afternoon. We realized after driving over the mountain road would have to stay in town overnight. We would not want to drive back over that mountain during the night. The staff was so accommodating by providing us with a Thanksgiving meal. They knew no restaurants would be open that late on Thanksgiving. They even brought... More
