This a great place to stay for getting close to nature, be prepared for barking gekkos and spiders to share your tree house from time to time. The rainforest is right on your doorstep and it's amazing to sit on the balcony and listen to the sounds of nature; having breakfast of (amazing and sometimes strange) rainforest fruit with a... more

We really did have a wonderful few days with Alison and Digby at the Fruit Farm. Too much good stuff to say here really but will give it a go: 1, Secluded accomodation in the forest, very very eco friendly (I learnt to live without my hairdryer and loved it!) GREAT breakfasts - an array of fruit from the farm,... more

The owners seemed like they had a lot on their mind and were not very interactive. Their tour guide was very nice and helpful. If you like eating different things then this is the place for you. I liked it and my wife did not. A very nice tasting tour and a fun walk through in their orchid. more

We stayed for 2 nights (not long enough) in spotlessly clean and very welcoming accommodation. Alison and Denise looked after us and cooked gourmet breakfasts. If you can't stay here but want to see the farm for yourself, the fruit-tasting and farm tour at 2pm each day is a must. We tried 10 different exotic fruits - some we had... more

We only spent two nights here because we were on a tight schedule but we really wish we could have spent more time here as we loved it so much! Alison and Digby were gracious hosts, full of information and the breakfasts were fantastic!! Thanks Digby! These are the highlights: 1) having your own little 'cabin' to relax and feel... more

We stayed for a week at Digby´s and Allison´s place and it was the highlight of our journey to Australia. Forget 5-star-Daintree-Eco-Resort!!! Except you are dependent on a hairdryer ;-). The feeling to be away from the crowds with the rainforest just around we found breathtaking and very relaxing. Our hosts really cared with beautifull breakfast, great hospitallity and a... more

Our trip was inspired by the book Where The Forest Meets the Sea by Jeannie Baker - my wife read it as a child and always wanted to visit the Daintree. The Exotic Fruit Farm is the perfect place to experience these two wonderful environments - the rainforest and the reef. We stayed for a total of four nights -... more

We had a wonderful time at the fruit farm. Breakfast is delicious, Digby and Alison are super helpful with reservations and suggestions, Cape Trib is beautiful and peaceful, and getting to stay in the heart of the rainforest in a place with character was a real treat. We wished we had spent more time here and less time in Port... more

We stayed two nights and wished we could stay 20. The location is right next to the rainforest and just 7 minutes easy enjoyable walk from Myall beach. The accommodation is spacious, very comfortable and beautiful. Alison and Digby are friendly, personal and discrete hosts. Breakfast is amazing as is the fruit tasting in the afternoon. If you only have... more

We stayed at the farm three nights and were far from disappointed with anything during our stay. Digby and Allison are wonderful hosts and do everything to make you feel like a part of their extended network of accquaintances, rather than just a hotel guest. They were both helpful on booking tours and being a reference point for our questions... more

Management response from

It can be humid during October and November before the rains come, and at that time we place fans in the cottages. At other times, if a guest would like a fan, they only need to ask. The temperature rarely gets above 28c, as the rainforest acts as a natural air conditioner. The cottages are also designed for the tropical...
