There's nothing like testing your ideas of environmentalism like living in the midst of the rainforest! Marion and Brian were amazing hosts and educators, and the property is such a beautiful piece of integrated living. The guest room is spacious and clean and the public area is a great place to watch wildlife, read, or chat with the hosts and... more

We booked a 4-night stay at Cow Bay Homestay as part of a recent 4-week Eastern Aus trip. Brian and Marion are excellent hosts and our stay with them was an oasis of 'normality' - a welcome break from the anonymous hotel existence that divorced us from the day-to-day details of our surroundings elsewhere. When we booked we didn't know... more

My partner and I stayed four nights at the Cow Bay Homestay B&B in August 2009. Marion and Brian, the B&B owners, made us feel very welcome and relaxed in an unfamiliar environment. The B&B is in a very good location to get out and explore Cape Tribulation and the surrounding area, and Marion was very helpful at advising about... more

Cow Bay Homestay is a great alternate to hostel or resort style accommodation in the Daintree. Marion and Brian are great hosts. The house is set in a wonderful oasis within the rainforest and Marion's tropical garden is superb. The guest pavillion is private although still within the house structure. Marion's breakfasts were extensive and a real highlight of our... more

Cowbay homestay is a very special place right in the Daintree rainforest. We stayed there for 3 days and found Marion & Brian very welcoming and full of advice about the local area. You can walk to the beach and it also works as a great base for exploring Daintree and Cape Tribulation. Breakfast is lovely with a choice of... more

Cow Bay Homestay is a home away from home. Marion and Brian, the hosts, made us feel like one of the family. Marion also provided us with invaluable infomation and advice on the attractions of the area. Their home is a peaceful osais in the midst of the beautiful daintree rainforest, complete with a natural freshwater swimming hole and only... more

We stayed 5 nights with Marion and Brian at Cow Bay Homestay and wanted to stay three more weeks! The house, the hospitality, the rainforest, the creatures, the wine, the mix was perfect really. The Daintree requires a sense of adventure and staying there is a stunning reward. As travelers, we like to get off the beaten path and get... more

This is a place on earth that you just cannot imagine from Europe. A real paradise. I haven't completely recovered... In the middle of the rainforest, the homestay is an amazing house, 10 min walk from the beautiful beach where you can spend the afternoon without spotting more than a few tourists in the distance. Marion and Brian are very... more
