Nice motel in Chinchilla. Rooms are new and very nice. There is some road-noise from the highway, but you can still get a decent sleep. The restaurant used to be pretty average, but they must have picked up their game. The motel is not a good as the new Chinchilla Downtown Motor Inn, but would be a clear second best.

A good, highway motel in Chinchilla. Rooms are big, clean and new. Plenty of parking. Also a popular hotel in a booming gas town, so book early.

Rooms at The Palms are neat and clean with everything you'd need for an overnight stay in the QLD bush. Staff at reception were friendly and supplied milk for tea and coffee when we chekced in. Maybe a tad overpriced, but it seemed to be the best in Chinchilla. Not a large room, but elegant and adquate. Particularly like the idea of the walk-in-robe, from the point of view, no-one is likely to leave their belongings and it also kept luggage away from the main area.
