Friendly hosts, clean and very comfy accom. breakfasts were enormous but we persevered! We stocked up with food (for other meals) in Mossman on our way to Daintree. Book exchange was a great touch. I, too, like to keep in touch with home via texts but a signal can be had down by the jetty in the village (had to... More

Lovely location and friendly hosts. The absence of mobile reception and TV was a blow to me but my partner enjoyed our stay more for their lack. Nathan, marrickville. More

We very much appreciate your review, thank you, and hope our lack of mobile reception and TV was not too inconvenient. All our communications in the Valley are via satellite and our closest mobile reception is in nearby Daintree Village, however most guests seem happy to be 'out of touch' for a while! More

My husband and I spent 5 nights in one of the three lodges (Sunbird), and were delighted with our stay. The lodge was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Peter clears out rubbish daily, delivers wondrous fresh breakfasts (those marmalades!!), and still manages to make you feel completely private. Sitting on the veranda at breakfast with the sounds of the rainforest was... More

This was the perfect B&B for two adventurers! Daphne and Peter were wonderful hosts who were very friendly and offered advice when asked, but gave you plenty of privacy also. The breakfast was really good and left you prepared for your day. The deck was perfect for reading and relaxing while watching the birds and butterflies. And the last morning... More

Stayed in the Sunbird cabin for two nights and it was just beautiful. Clean cabin with a great king size bed and good shower. The balcony was wonderful to sit out on and listen to the birds. More

Thanks for such a wonderful, relaxing time. This place and your thoughtful service, your impeccable standards and warm generosity, truly made for a peaceful, comfortable stay. It is indeed a magical place - tea on the balcony in the early morning, listening to the sounds of tropical Queensland, and then your great breakfasts before setting off for a day of... More

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights in early November. The self contained cabins were great (only critisism I would have is that matresses was a bit old and perhaps needs replacing?). The hosts were the best we have met in our travels and looked after us really well. Breaky was great and local advice invaluable. A nature... More

Thank you very much for your comments and we were only sorry to hear that you found the bed uncomfortable. We had in fact already decided that at the end of this season we would replace all the beds and bedding, and towels, in each bungalow. We do hope that one day we may welcome you both again - and... My partner and I spent two perfect nights here. The private cabin with the balcony over the dam and the birds in the background was delightful. We saw lots of unusual birds and it was a great place to explore Far North Queensland from. More

We stayed here during our second week in Australia. The location was great for daytrips and we especially enjoyed our river trip for birders that was recommended by our hosts and guided by "Sauce." The double-eyed fig parrot made an appearance for us and although the buff-breasted paradise kingfisher eluded us several times, we did find it nearby. The scenery... More
