Was expecting a lovely 'tropical resort' as the name suggest. Very basic cabins, not overly clean, dusty, dirty blankets, no storage. Smell of possums was a little unpleasant. Some simple things not included/missing from the rooms - hand towels, soap and iron. Owners/staff very pleasant. Quiet location, gorgeous surrounds. Bus stop outside the resort made travel very easy. more

Arrived on Island from ferry to find no taxi available unless you had pre-booked. After checking into resort we were given keys to accommodation which was more like a holiday camp chalet. Not 100% clean either. Very disappointing. Restaurant was poor and pool a bit dirty. Hired a vehicle to get around the island - some nice beaches but nothing... more

This was not a resort style accommodation they were dark, damp smelling camping cabins - the pool was like a backyard pool the restaurant was not open for evening meals. Magnetic Island in general was a major disappointment - I went there for a wedding hoping to really enjoy and be pampered on my stay there was no pampering it... more

Husband and I stayed here and it was just right. Really pleasant owner and a nice cabin. Pleasant pool was a bonus though we spent our time out on the beaches. It is a disance from the better beaches but a bus stop for the Island's free bus service is just outside the property which was great. Would recommend it.... more

We stayed here for two nights in October, but perhaps we did not see the hotel in its best light as there was a wedding one evening and a local football team had reached the final of a major competitoin so the hotel was closed the next night. We did pay a reduced rate and were informed of the wedding... more
