Arkaroola is a wonderful example of what it means to get out into the backblocks to observe nature at its most rugged. We travelled in February, so it was pretty hot, but we were able to cope quite easily with the dry heat. We had a 4WD camper and two small children and the caravan section did not appeal because of the distance to the pool and dining room.
