I came across the Barmera Country Club just by chance as I was driving from Adelaide to east central Victoria. I left the Adelaide area by early evening, and knowing there were some towns along the way, I figured I'd just stop when I saw something I liked. In a driving rain storm, I saw a sign for this comfort inn. It took me a while to find it as it was so dark and rainy, but I'm glad I did. Each room had a carport outside and the rooms were quite spacious, with just about everything you could need. From what I had seen of Barmera while finding the hotel, most everything looked shut, so I ended up in the country club restaurant and had a nice dinner at a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and I would stay here again, no question about it, especially considering I only paid $79 AUS$ for the room.
