My wife and I stayed here for two nights in the South Australian "winter." The location was good for downtown walking, and we walked from the hotel to Granite Island to see the little penguins that roost there. The room was clean and well kept. We were on a driving holiday with a teenager so had the old "three-in-a-room" accommodation limitations and this room fitted the requirements. It was clean and roomy, the kitchenette meant we were able to have a 'home-cooked' meal after a week on the road. Couldn't have been quieter and neater, even though it was on the main road. Conveniently located on Victoria Street, close to shops & restaurants, this seems to be a well-run operation, with the cheerful husband & wife team taking genuine care of their guests. Date Sept 2005 We stayed in Victor Harbor 3 nights at the Comfort Inn Colonial. The town is great with Granite Island and the penguins that come in at night. Des and Sand (managers) went out of their way to help us. They were very helpful with everything even directions on where we were going next. The room was great.... more
