I LEARNED MY LESSON: ALWAYS CHECK OUT THE ROOM BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO PAYING. The room I stayed in on October 17th weekend was so saturated with cigarette smoke, it was difficult to sleep. (My unused clothes had to be washed when getting home.) The TV remote was broke. The hot and cold knobs were opposite. There was loud music... more

I reserved a room a month before the Columbus Marathon and received a confirmation number. I called three days before my stay to confirm my reservation and to alert the clerk as to the time of my arrival. I showed up the night before the marathon and was told that I had no room and that I had no reservation.... more

Stayed 4 days at the Inn, and it was close to everywhere I needed to go to. It was clean and staff was very helpful. I would suggest this place for anyone from out of town that grew up in the south end of Columbus. Ted H. more

I found the rooms very clean and sanitary the staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recomend this hotel to anyone. It is close to everything and there is something for every age to do near by. I am looking forward to coming back for a leisure trip with my family more

Donot go there unless you enjoy waking up to bugs... Our clothing was full of ants and other bugs, when we had the manager come and look all he could say was " Sorry, someone must have dropped food". We checked out within 15 minutes. The rooms have really went downhill in the past year and this is sad as... more

Was very disappointed with this hotel. The staff were mostly friendly, when they could understand what you were asking. We were traveling as a large group, and many of the rooms had problems. The heat was broken in one, and it was very cold. The sheets in another were filthy and full of cigarette burns. We had asked for all... more

Well we always seem to have problems with finding hotels that do accept pets. We normally always try to find a Motel 6 since they are very pet friendly. But considering we like to stay near German Village that is not a option. But we have stayed at the German Village Inn many times over the past year actually leaving... more

When we entered the room, the smell smacked me in the face. It was like someone had just finished smoking a cigar. The furniture was dirty and in terrible shape. The beds were crap and the sheets didn't appear to be very clean. Small TV and the air conditioning vent looked like it had never been cleaned. When we turned... more

We love the German Village area, so we thought we'd give this hotel a try. When we checked in, the gentleman was on the phone, and pretty much ignored us, eventually he ran our credit card and gave us a key. The room was horrible. It smelled musty and a bit smoky (it was a non-smoking room), there were a... more

The hotel room was clean and roomy. I liked that the sink was outside the lavatory. Not a lot of extras (i.e. shampoo, etc.) but that's okay because I take my own anyway and I'd rather save the money. If you want fancy, this isn't the place for you but if you want comfortable and inexpensive, it most definitely is. more
