Not reccamended for long stay. There is no management. Have hired unprofessional people to run the hotel which once upon a time was among the best. Owners have made their money and resting in Mumbai at the expense of unaware customers

we stayed at ashok hotel in octomber 2012 for two days food was very good ,very big rooms. staff is very helpful. rooms were clean .small swim pool is there .we played cricket badminton.gujarati style food ,one sweet dish one farsan three vegetables papad pickles. green salad .

Hotel surrounding is very natural.After going to the hotel no need to visit other places in matheran. Very peaceful Food is excellent. woulld have loved if the swimmimg pool had been clean enough for swimming. also the garden equipments are not in shape.Rooms are clean enough.sttaff is very helpful and obedient.FINAL VERDICT WILL VISIT AGAIN WIHT FAMILY DEFINITELY.
