The hotel is located a little away from the main market (about 2kms) and is an ideal place to relax. The rooms are good. They are big in size, with basic amenities and a room heater. The place is neat and clean. Its a value for money place. The gardens in the hotel campus are well maintained.

I think La-chaumiere house is the most apt place to stay when in Shillong. Its far away from the hustle and bustle, the rooms are great, the location fantastic, the food homely and ambience colonial. Its run very well and the Managers go out of their way to ensure that everybody is comfortable.
It is very rarely that I feel comfortable in places where residential properties are used as a hotel. In this case I think the place was pretty nice. They have come up with new rooms and they are pretty decent.
Food: The kitchen is just a pantry so their is almost no room service but if you give them time...
