Food excellent, room excellent, layout excellent, environment excellent. The buildings and gardens are well-maintained. The bars and restaurants are well-staffed and the folk there provide an excellent service. Only slight downsides were a) the beach was OK but not the nicest you'll ever see (too rocky to swim and not the best sand), and b) the experienced famous stand-up comedian they brought in for the night from the UK was the worst I've seen in 50 years of theatregoing. He started fine then for no reason at all started to insult the audience and when he realised he was losing the room he started using material far too sweary and adult for an audience obviously half full of young children. As things quickly deteriorated the 'performance' became an absolute car crash as he slumped into incompetence and painful gibbering.. Eventually, after about 7 minutes, he called a swift and embarrassingly curt halt to the gig and walked off to the sound of his own footsteps. The management then hurriedly announced there would be a break to give them a bit of time. Another announcement a while later said the comedian (haha) would return in about 20 minutes (guess he had to else he'd never get on stage again) and to his credit he did return. But the remaining audience was only there really in amazement to watch the death of a clown. He'd lost them from completely and was out-joked and jeered every time he tried to 'engage' (ie. bully) an audience member after that. It was utter humiliation I'm afraid. Funnily enough, haven't heard of him since... (PS. Out of respect for his family and friends I haven't mentioned his name. But if you were there, you will know...)

We stayed here in May 2023. Our first family holiday as 4. Very happy with our choice. Hotel was just as expected. Always very clean and tidy. Staff very Friendly. I liked the online check in through the app before arrival, That cut some time off checking in at the desk. The hotel is about 10 minutes away in a taxi to Hersonsisos, where there are plenty of shops and also Star Beach (100% worth a visit) This hotel is in little bit of a quieter location but still a few bars etc.. out on the beach side. The resort itself is a really good size. My son and I just enjoyed evening strolls around the poolsides, over the bridges and all pushchair accessible. Kids entertainment went down well with our kids, Loved it every night. Our kids enjoyed the kids club especially the party nights they had. God send when we had bad weather. Few weddings on while we were there too, which was great as they did fireworks on them nights. Good bit of extra entertainment. Room: We booked a sea view family room (1105). So pleased with the room we were given. Really big room with sliding doors to separate us from the kids if we wanted, big balcony (covered but bonus when I did rain a couple days) Fantastic view over the pools and looking out to the sea. pretty central room. Only downside really is the availability to book the restaurants. Unfortunately we were unable to book any during our whole stay. you have to be so quick on the app. Shame as it would have been nice to experience the other restaurants. The food was good enough in the main restaurant anyway. Cafe is open during the day for snacks which was great. Must add the pools are very cold salt water. Other than the kids ones at the back with the splash pool. We didn't mind it so much as once you're in its ok. Being May we sort of expected it and from reading other reviews. Maybe during the summer months it would warm up more. Always able to get a sun bed at that time of year. we didn't have any issue. Kid splash pool is a good size lots of fun things for them to play. Theres also a great playground. These are all at the back of the hotel so there's plenty other pool areas (including adult only) if you don't want to mix with family's too much. Lots of trips available, Tui reps on hand in the lower level of the hotel if needed. We booked all ours online but if unsure about our booking they were happy to help. Trip to Heraklion is pricey but worth a visit about an hour away unless you had mr speedy taxi driver like us, he got us there in under 30mins! We also used the hotel photographers. Really recommend it to capture your memories and get some lovely family/couple photos. I did use the spa on rainy day, Ive been to better. I had a lovely treatment but it was very noisy in the treatment room areas. I could hear the people in the room next door clearly. They are a little pushy on products and reviews after your treatment too which is not what you want. Happy to review but at my own pace. Overall I would recommend this for a family holiday. It ticked so many boxes for us. Theres always going to be little things but don't let them ruin your trip.

We arrived for our honeymoon and were greeted with a nice champagne on ice, wine and fruit bowl. Generally this was a nice and clean hotel. Food was very nice with lots on offer at the buffet and a nice Mexican, Thai, Greek and Italian restaurant so we didn't get bored. The buffet usually hosts traditionally greek food with another theme night. We went on a few excursions and took packed lunches. These are very boring and consist of a bread roll, crisps, carrots, apple and water. The bars and staff are attentive with nice drinks. Hotel Entertainment is ok, not the best I've seen and pretty generic but we still went most evenings. It's usually song and dance numbers. There wasn't much variation like magic shows or anything like I've seen elsewhere. The main issue we noticed was a prevalence of slippery floors. Not sure if this was caused by humidity and condensation but on the polished marble in corridors and on the smooth tiles around the pools you had to be extremely careful. we saw one or two people go down and another one with a broken ankle complaining about it at the desk. so this wasn't an issue only we noticed. All in all a nice hotel. Just a few issues.

We stayed here as a family of three (with a 3 year old) and cannot express how amazing this hotel was. By far the best family hotel we have ever stayed in and have the Cala Tarida in Ibiza to compare it to. The room was pure luxury, boasting a fridge, lovely shower, separate jacuzzi bath, and a balcony over looking the gardens (internally) with views of the sea to the left. We had a late night arrival and were welcomed with a fridge full of sandwiches and fruit, a bottle of fizz on ice, a bottle of red wine and crisps to snack on. Also our daughter was in a separate room on the sofa bed that was comfy and made in to a double bed. Lots of space for her to spread her toys along the tv unit and floor too! Little touches like fresh bath sheets every day, clean floors every day, drinks fridge restocked with a couple of beers, Fanta and water, the individual hand soap, conditioner and shampoo… all just added to the luxury feel. The pool entertainment was fab, and the evening entertainment was the best I’ve ever seen. West end quality singers and performers! Also when you’re watching the performers, although all inclusive it is table service for drinks so you can really relax and unwind. Kids club - again what a luxury! Our little girl only went once as she likes to be with us but it’s right by the adult pool and it gave dad and I an hour to sit on the submerged loungers surrounded by bubbles sipping a cocktail from the adult bar! The drinks were fab and food amazing too. Each meal time was a different theme with plenty of choice for all pallets! Fizz also included at breakfast and coffee out of the machines was top quality. Poolside service for drinks was AMAZING! As soon as we sat down every day there was someone there in a flash to take our drinks order. Our little girl especially enjoyed the slushies and ice cream pool side! The snack bar by the main restaurant in the days, was perfect to grab a mid meal snack or if you wanted something different by the pool at leisure rather than restaurant dining. The chicken nuggets and bueno dessert pots are an absolute winner!! We ate at the Mexican day and night (different menus) and the day menu was great, we went for burritos, and wings and the evening menu is plentiful. Go for the ribs! You won’t be disappointed… I still talk about these ribs now! We also ate at the Italian and the Thai restaurant and it was all absolutely delicious and you could order as much off the menu as you wanted. My advice would be to be quick with the booking system, it opens on the app (restaurant app needs to be downloaded not the TUI app) and I think it’s 10am the bookings are released for the next day and you need to be hot off the mark to get in! We had photos taken by the lovely ladies by the pool and they captured some perfect memories! We didn’t book the package but we paid for them to be loaded on to a usb which I think was about €150 for 100 odd photos over 3 days. We didn’t use the spa facilities but we had services priced and it was reasonable for the services. There’s also a shop on site that sells all the essentials and some gifts, but there is a small supermarket and shop opposite the hotel, literally a two minute walk. We did the train ride around from just outside the hotel that stopped in the little harbour village and it was well worth the money. Nice to see some of the island and also explore the local area. Lots of pools, bars, restaurants and shops…all within the same walls! A good mix of people too including couples and families and there was even a wedding in the hotel too! Side note - the larger pools are salt water! This did sting our eyes, so be mindful. All in all a top score from us! We will be trying your hotel TUI blue in Rhodes next year 😃😃

What can we say. We were extremely disappointed in this 5* hotel We arrived for a 14 night break with our 2 children aged 12 and 10. Being fair, the hotel looked tip too upon arrival, bags taken to room, and the views were glorious. We could see all along the coast, and the views were beautiful. To start, the food was quite mediocre. We appreciate that it's hard to cater for 400-500 people, but the food was very samey, and we were lucky to get food which was hot. The theme nights were pointless, if you go to Greece then you want to experience Greek food, not different regions (in our opinion). The a'la'carte on site were poor, we ate at the Greek, TexMeX and the italian. All were lacking, we are glad we never paid for them!! Majority of the staff were really friendly and helpful: Victor on the beach was amazing, Renia in the evening bar was brilliant, and there was a young female receptionist with glasses who went out of her way to be awesome. However, negative for us. The floors were extremely slippery at all times through day and night. A member of our party slipper and caused physical injury, resulting in a leg cast, 2 wheelchairs and multiple thousand €€ doctors bills. Considering the staff all admitted how the floors were too slippery, as they were also slipping all around the place, it was amazing how at the time of the accident the hotel didn't ensure awareness. After the accident, the hotel's attitude towards injured guests was terrible. We were ignored by the hotel management, and there was no attempt made by the management to make the situation better. The local TUI staff did what they could, which was limited. We appreciate that our view was jaded by an accident and the support offered after. We wrote 5his not to put you off, but to make you aware so that you can make an informed decision, and warm you to ensure you have travel insurance and go very careful. Lots of people were slipping, and not sure how many were reporting it, but we hope the hotel improves for future guests.

I really do not recommend this hotel. For the price you pay you would expect a much better experience. There is a reason this hotel consistently gets rated down and that’s because you in no way get value for money. I have stayed in much better three stars. The cleanliness of the hotel bedroom was absolutely appalling. During our stay we had an infestation of ants which even after asking the hotel to resolve on numerous occasions they did not. They advised they could not spray due to the chemicals as we had a toddler. They also did not offer a replacement room due to being full capacity. By the end of the week the ants were even in the bed. It was horrible and I was so glad to be going home to get a good night sleep. The toilet wasn’t cleaned all week. Think floor was cleaned once. Two occasions they didn’t even come to clean the room which was evident as the bed was not made. On one of these occasions I called the reception as I was unhappy they had not been and they did come to ‘clean’ shortly after…. They just changed the bedding…. Again hardly 5* cleanliness!!! They also put us in a room which had numerous steps up to it which was very annoying as we had a pushchair. There was no way up to the room without going up the steps. They knew we had a baby before we arrived as we requested a cot for the room. The hotel is set over 3 levels so if you have a pushchair or if you are disabled it is an absolute chore to get around. There are no ramps so when you want to go down a level you have to go the ridiculously long way to the lift each time. Also to get to the family pool was hard work. All pools are salt water apart from family. Some people prefer that, but we do not. Also if you go with kids you don’t get full access to all the pools. Food was ok, very mediocre. I like salt but the food was insanely salty in the buffet. Wasn’t a large enough selection particularly when the hotel was at full capacity and we didn’t appreciate having to always queue for a table. Just in no way a 5* experience. Also the booking of the restaurants was a joke. Having to do more queuing and then finding it to be booked up before you get the chance to book on the machine and you only get three meals in a restaurant the rest of the time you have to slum in the buffet. Hardly all inclusive! Drinks watered down. Tasted ok but absolutely impossible to get tipsy and we aren’t even big drinkers. Staff were friendly. Beach beautiful. Little cafe over the road was great and had a little play area for the kids. We went there most days for an enjoyable meal and drink. I’m sure there are much better hotels on the island so keep looking and give this one a miss. You are paying for the brand rather than the 5* holiday you would expect. Never ever will we do a Sensatori again. You live and learn.

Myself and my husband stayed for two weeks at the Atlantica Caldera Palace for our honeymoon in July. There were welcome drinks handed out when we arrived and the bell boys took our suitcases to our rooms. We arrived late at night and the hotel had provided us with sandwiches, snacks and fruit in our room. We were also welcomed with a bottle of Champaign, as it was our Honeymoon, lovely little surprise. The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke good English. The restaurant was clean, however, not a lot of food choice at the evening meal, we would usually eat in the main restaurants for breakfast and lunch, but eat at an a-la-carte or out of the hotel for our evening meal. Would recommend eating at the Mexican a-la-carte, which is included in the all inclusive. The room could have been cleaner, our towels were changed daily, however, bathroom was not properly cleaned when we arrived, nor was it for the two weeks we were there. Would highly recommend visiting Ocean Seaside Food and Cocktails Bar and Restaurant, is is just a 5 minute walk up the beach front and does absolutely amazing food, we also visited their Shisha and cocktail bar on the beach (just across from the restaurant). Overall, we had a fantastic honeymoon, and would recommend if you want to get out and about a bit in the evening.

This was my wife’s and mine’s second time at Atlantica Caldera Palace. This is by far one of the best all inclusive venue’s we have ever been to. The rooms are perfect and very spacious, and all the staff are so kind and accommodating. We would like to give a special mention to George at the Guru bar, his customer service was outstanding and we loved our funny conversations with him.
