Me my partner and 2 kids ages 18months and 6. Arriving at the hotel was pleasant and all staff was friendly and helpful. We got to the hotel around 8pm dropped our bags of and went straight to dinner. We was in the bungalows room 408 sea and pool view, rooms where cleaned every single day and fresh bottled water 🙂. The food was okay but I'm a fussy eater (plain jane) but my partner enjoyed it very much. Mixed variety of chicken fish pork etc the crep bar was a great hit for the kids and me of corse fresh Pancakes icecreams and pastry all day 😋. The kids club was AMAZING big big shout out to SOUMAYA she was awesome with my little girl and made her holiday 😁 so thank you for that 😀.
The entertainment was really good also couldn't fault it especially during a pandemic. The bar man was really nice along with a lady who worked in the dining room.
The spa on sight was really nice had a face and neck massage a few days before I left, should have got more it was brilliant ☺. The hotel its self is around 10 mins drive away from hersonissos which only cost €9 to get there and €40 to Heraklion 25mins drive. Both are really nice but I prefer hersonissos. I think the only bad points are the kids pool only because it's one depth and my 18month old couldn't paddle but did love the beach across the road and the location, not much around a few restaurants and shops.

A last minute trip through Jet2, advertised as a 4 star, not too sure about that, 3 at most, imho.
Due to Covid and being the last week open for the season, staffing was very limited, queues always for the bar and ran out of glasses, measures were very small, even saw staff, filling vodka bottle from the soda mixer!!!!!!!!!!!! I can only assume, measures to maximise use and limit product use over last week!!
Meals in the restaurant, were again very limited, pork chops nearly every night, sometimes Liver, poss chicken , in a sauce or just as wings, meat invariably dry and over cooked,, along with some veg and types of quiche, nearly all was cold or bordering on luke warm.
However the selection of sweets/cakes was excellent, no problem with the pastry chef
The main plus point, was the staff, all ( except the meat cook) were extremely friendly and very attentive, rushed off their feet, but always with a smile, I could not fault them at all,
Rooms needing refurbishing, we had a se view room, which smelt damp, clue may have been the curtain that sat in a plastic bag on the floor!! some damp on one wall, bathroom, old and well worn, Hot water, well just above acceptable for a shower, on only one night out of 7.
We could only use 1 speciality restaurant for an evening meal,, as they claimed all were fully booked, this did not look like it as they were not busy at all, again I feel this was an excuse not to use any more resources than necessary, to minimise cost to the hotel, the Italian we did use, had a limited menu , but was better that the food in the main restaurant, however we did also manage a lunch in the greek speciality restaurant, I chose a starter of sauted potatoes in olive oil, with a local Gruyere cheese melted on top, what I gat was a plate of salted french fries!!!!!!!!! not exactly what i was expecting, no explanation offered at all, i was too shocked to ask?? but hungry enough to eat them!!
Lovely young girl on the Crepe bar near the pool, worked extremely hard, from 11am till 6pm, nice little snack, but this was the only snacks that i could find in between allotted meal times, again, something that is very limited from what I have had from other AI hotels.
Also due to Covid, no room cleaning/towels changed unless you asked, this included the removal of used toilet paper from a very small bin in room toilet , overflowing after less than 24hrs
For a supposed 4* All inclusive that cost us over £700 each for 7 nights, not good value at all,
May well be different during a normal summer, but you would expect it to be the same standard from opening day till the last day!!

We have just returned from a last minute week, having booked only a few days earlier due to the changing travel and quarantine restrictions.
I’ll start with the positives, the hotel was clean and well presented.
The pool area was lovely and also had a water slide which kept the kids entertained, the sun beds were very comfortable and clean( just be prepared to get up early to get one)the location was nice right next to the sea although we would normally prefer to be closer to hersonissos as we like to have a wander at night and we probably overlooked this with booking so quickly.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the lady at the pool bar was very friendly as were the staff in the main bar.
The negatives to this hotel are as follows, the life guard is a total menace, he is like a traffic warden on a power trip, if he blew his whistle once a day he blew it a thousand times, he would hunt people down for doing anything, I’m all for safety but this guy had kids in tears, banned people from the slide for very little and even told a guy off when his plastic cup blew from under his lounger, the hotel needs to look at this guy as everyone was talking about him.
The food is Mediterranean and was fine for adults, with enough choice even though it looks a reduced offering due to Covid which I totally understand, if you have young kids or fussy eaters there is very little for them, the kids section just had chips and meatballs most days, because of this we ended up eating out 3 nights even though we were all inclusive
To get a sun lounger you need to be up no later than 07.15 which I find frustrating, I work hard and want to relax when on holiday and really don’t want to be setting an alarm the same time as I do for work to reserve a lounger, again this could be reduced capacity due to Covid
All in all though for what we paid for a week all inclusive it was good value for money and the staff did a very good job in difficult times, nice pool area, very clean and friendly but need to sort the life guard and kids food out

Arrived at night made to feel very welcome, advised bars open until 12 and snacks had been left in our room. Family room 2 bedroom with own balconies and TVs, and views overlooking the beach. Plenty of storage space in each bedroom. Took cleaned everyday and fresh towels daily. Only used the main restaurant, plenty of choice. Asked to wear gloves to use the utensils at the serving stations, some did some didn’t. Omelette station etc for a breakfast. Pools fantastic very clean, but they will move towels if left, twice we were in pool and he tried to remove ours from beds. A quick word with reception and sorted. Safes in room but have to be paid for. €20 deposit for pool towels. Entertainment ok but restrictions in place for Covid. Train stops outside for a tour of Heraklion €12 well worth a tour. Stalis is a better beach and is 10 minute taxi ride for €30 return. Staff work really hard and a credit to the hotel. Would definitely stay again if returning to Crete.

Booked here to stay with my partner and parents for my 21st birthday. The rooms were very basic, food was again very basic but the waiting time was horrendous. Due to COVID 19 facilities are limited but management was very underprepared. Waited 52 minutes in the restaurant queue to get food. Restaurant staff were trying their best but there was one staff member managing 3 food counters which caused delay. Restaurant staff were extremely nice but the reception staff less than helpful. Room was only cleaned twice in the space of 7 days and no replacement towels and continually ran out of toilet paper. Also bottled water was very limited and one bar open in a 5 star hotel was ridiculous. On the last day while checking over the room before leaving in case we left anything and when we actually checked the cupboard properly, there was a pair of used underwear in our room that did not belong to myself nor my partner. It had an odour and looked like they had been there from the previous season. The hotel is certainly not a 5 star hotel more like a stable 3 star. Would not return or recommend based on our experience. 5 star price for a very basic 3 star hotel.

Stayed 2 weeks from 31.7.20 family of 4

Despite these hard times of Covid and learning to cope with it, the hotel did a good job of trying to get it right. Ok there were queues in the restaurant and the bar but that can be the case anywhere in normal times.
The hotel was 1st class, staff really friendly and helpful the grounds spotless, plenty of sun beds to go round. Perfect quiet setting right next to the beach with a road in front, little traffic so made it a pleasant walk to some of the bars and shops nearby. Beach was a little rocky but once out about 50 m it was fine, perfectly clear great for snorkelling some sandy beaches close by.

Restaurant
No help yourself buffet style but food served to you from behind the counter which were generous portions. Our 2nd week the choice of food and service improved a lot just, think they needed a couple more staff. Food quality and variety very good but just lacked something? Great friendly service from Jenny, Osalda, Eleni (“come in”) on the food counters and maitre d Maria who always tried to get us an outside table.
The Italian and Greek restaurants were good only comment is the desert was just a slice of watermelon, could have been Italian or Greek based.

Bar and drinks
Chrissi, Maria and Sakis (“all right mate”) and Marina all worked so hard always smiling and so friendly. Sometimes you had to wait a while in a queue to get served. Cocktails were only served in main hotel bar, maybe with more staff they could also do at the new pool bar. The Creperie/pool bar was busy all day, crepes, ice cream (not carte d’or) soft drinks and puddings.

Rooms
We were located in the 400 range bungalow complex by the small quieter pool great to just fall out of the room (422/423 ground floor) and into the pool, some had great sea views.

Again a 1st class hotel and would recommend at any time, thank you very much

We had a lovely time at the Serita, weather was stunning and friendly helpful staff throughout the hotel. Our room was clean and spacious although a little dated it was on the ground floor with a terrace, would have preferred a balcony room as felt there wasn't much natural light in the room but this didn't bother us that much. After the first night we felt the mattress was too uncomfortable and asked for it to be changed, which was done the same day and a brand new mattress was put in its place. Nice touches in the room were: Bathrobes and slippers, mini fridge that was re stocked daily with soft drinks, nice complimentary toiletries, room cleaned daily also towels changed daily, pool towels and safe in room all included. Food and service in the main restaurant was good although lacking on extra cutlery we soon learnt to hang on to ours before getting up for more. Crepes at the pool bar were good and the cakes and deserts here were excellent quality. Plenty of sunbeds always available there was no reserving of beds here until after 9am which was monitored well. There are new sunbeds which were very comfortable but also plenty of the older style lying around if you needed them. Pools were excellent not too cold one was more quieter than the other. The beach was nice but you need beach shoes as there are many rocks as you enter the sea but once your'e passed them its fine. Warm sea and great for snorkelling. You do need to put your towel down early on the beach as their reservation of beds policy doesn't seem to apply to the beach. Quiet location only a few shops and bars within walking distance. Highly recommend the land train ride to Hersonissos, which stops right outside the back of the hotel by the beach, although make sure you don't loose your ticket as we witnessed a very angry ticket checker at one spot who nearly made 2 old French ladies get off the train! We went on a TUI trip to Spinalonga and Agios Nikoloas which was fab. Had an early breakfast 6:30am on the trip day which was easily arranged by reception. Asked for a late check out on our last day which they sorted for 25 Euros. Would return to this hotel as so much more of Crete to explore. Thank you Serita Beach Hotel for a fab holiday.

Great location, pool facilities and pool/games staff were very good fun and helpful. Food was bang average and one day had only option of rabbit squid or liver which is shocking! We don’t fly until 11pm but they say we can’t have the room longer or another room so have to check out at 11am, the hotel is literally 1/4 full so no reason why, we’ve even offered to pay. All they could say is “not possible”. Wouldn’t come again to this hotel.

We have just returned from a week stay at Serita beach hotel. It was a clean and modern hotel. We stayed in one of the garden rooms which was clean, tidy and spacious. We had everything we would need including bottled water, a dressing gown and slippers which were nice touches that we used! We also had beach towels to use at the pool and a kettle. We had a safe and collected the key from reception with no extra charge. One point to make is that the kettle was full of limescale and whenever we poured we had to pick bits of limescale out, so they do need regular cleaning. As there were people staying in rooms above us, every night we heard children running around and furniture being moved around.
We spent our days by the quieter pool, which was very relaxing! The poolside bar was fantastic! The food at the main restaurant was delicious and there was so much variety. We tried each speciality restaurant and all 3 were lovely, but our favourite was the Greek!
In the evenings we spent some time at the main bar but it would have been nice to have some background music as without anything it was very quiet with no atmosphere.
The beach nearby was beautiful to watch the sunset.
The staff were friendly, approachable and happy to help.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay, it was the relaxing break we needed! Thank you Serita beach!

This holiday had been booked since 2019, we were really looking forward to staying here and we were not disappointed. We stayed in a family room overlooking the pool, which was cleaned daily, towels replaced every two days mini fridge had water and 3 choices of fizzy drinks which were replenished daily.
The staff here are extremely friendly and hard working, every morning the area around the pool was cleaned. We visited the pool bar most days and were served by Sakis who was extremely friendly he greeted us with a smile and a fist bump and knew exactly what we wanted to order, he worked alongside another guy who was equally as friendly serving delicious hotdogs and souvlaki. We booked all three onsite restaurants which were all lovely, our favourite being the Asian Sushi. There was a great choice in the buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner (we didn't always have lunch) if food was running low there were chefs in front of you cooking fresh replenishments. The creperie bar served freshly cooked pancakes, ice cream, cakes , tea coffee and soft drinks, I'm fussy with coffee but their machines made espresso coffee which was great, again very friendly lovely staff.
The pool area and slide were fab, keeping our 17 & 14 year old sons entertained. The entertainment team were onsite every day, they did aqua aerobics, volleyball, water polo and other water games and entertained every night Antonio was really friendly and took the time every day to talk to us. The hotels shop sells everything you need, suncream, Swimwear, snorkels, snacks, wine, beer, toiletries etc and the lady running it was so lovely, the first time we bought stuff from her she gave me a lovely material bag with flamingos on, then the next day gave me a fridge magnet.
The beach was across the road with sunbeds and umbrellas, the staff were there every day cleaning the sunbeds, my husband and boys enjoyed snorkeling, seeing an array of colourful fish.
On our last day we weren't flying until late, but the lovely staff in reception were able to accommodate our luggage and let us use a room in the main hotel to have showers.
Overall a fabulous holiday which we definitely recommend and deserves to be a 5 star hotel.

Hi Iwona. The meals are all buffet style and there is plenty of choice. The descriptions are very simplistic so you will need to check with the staff as to their actual content. You are escorted to your seat so that member of staff should be able to assist and there are usually staff behind the serving areas too. I hope this is helpful.

yes they provide all the towels and the a la carte restaurants are in the price you just have to book them at reception. There is also a pool bar were you can get souvlaki and hot dogs and another that does crepes.

There is air conditioning in there but it isn’t very effective. Some areas are better than others. If you arrive near the start of service you can ask to sit on the terrace
