We have just returned from our stay in the best Bed and Breakfast we have ever known. We were given Room 1 which was a ground floor room with a 6' bed and a lovely big shower in the en-suite and the accommodation was in immaculate condition. My partner and I visited Benchmark House when the weather was awful and we were worried we would have nothing to do. Benchmark House surpassed all expectations and hours of fun were had with the bar billiards set in the games room. The bedroom was amazing and the food scrumptious. The hosts were warm and couldn't have been more welcoming.... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here on Saturday night just for 1 night for my birthday. The room we had (room 4) had a huge 4 poster bed, Edwardian decor and the best and biggest bath I have ever seen!
