We had originally booked a different hotel in Mundesley but when we arrived we didnt even bother getting out of our car as it was dreadful. We drove to Sherringham and looked at several other guest houses and pubs with rooms but parking was a problem and the rooms werent that great. We stumbled accross The Burlington when a pub... more

Very basic room,no telephone or information pack , TV with indoor aeriel and short lead so restricted viewing. Were not asked if we required dinner or newspaper. The only redeeming features of this hotel are the seaviews and the waiting staff. more

Having enjoyed our previous leisurely breaks in Sheringham, my wife and I decided to take a further break at the hotel we had previously stayed at, but our eldest son warned us off because the hotel, in his words, had "The Pits". We then decided to do a search on the net and it was while we was seaching we... more

Spent a long weekend at the Burlington. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I was very well looked after. As a solo traveller I was made very welcome and found the hotel very well situated for the town and railway stations (there are two!). Went on the Coast Hopper bus - wonderful views and plenty of places... more

I've just come back from a long weekend at the Burlington and wholeheartedly recommend it. The staff were friendly and helpful, the view spectacular, and the location quiet. The room could, perhaps, do with a lick of paint here and there, but it was comfortable and spacious. It's only a couple of minutes away from the town centre along the... more

We arrived at this tall Victorian building on the sea front to be "greeted" by an unfriendly young man who thrust a registration form in front of us and then directed us to a tiny lift not big enough to take two people and their suitcases. So one of us (me) had to climb up to the 3rd floor past... more

We decided to go to Sheringham at the last minute and called the hotel direct the night before. They were very helpful and could only accomodate us for one night. Despite the late booking they did not take any credit card details and just accepted the verbal booking. I rang the next day as we did not expect to arrive... more

We have stayed at the Burlington many times in the past 15 years though this is the first time we have had a suite and stayed for more than just a couple of nights as on this occasion we were there for 10 days in August 2008. Our room (21) was on the third floor which you could either reach... more

We turned up on the day (6th) and got a room overlooking the sea - couldn't see the beach because there are a flight of steps down to it. There were pictures of junks (that's the chinese boat variety) on the stairway to the first floor where our room was located. I would throw them away, personally, and most of... more

I booked a single room for one night and was very pleasantly surprised - comfortable room with a comfy armchair also provided with a queen size bed. There was also a good bathroom with a bath AND shower (unusual in a single room, I've found at other places). There was also free wireless broadband provided - excellent service! The hotel... more
