After reading a few of the reviews on here , after I had booked to stay at the lodge, i was wondering whether to cancel my stay. As i didnt have much time to reorganize, and am working on a budget, i decided to go ahead and take my chances. I'm glad i did. I found the lodge to be... more

I phoned to book two rooms for some friends of ours visiting to celebrate our Golden Anniversary. The booking was made with the utmost efficiency. I went down to pay the booking fees and was shown where our friends could safely park their car in their back drive. Our friends did not manage to book in during the day so... more

...reading some negative critics here on TRIPADVISOR weeks after booking our double room at that B&B, we had some little doubts. Those doubts were not justified! We got a small, but comfortable and clean room (en suite). The house itself is one of those british terraced houses - no Buckingham Palace, but with a cozy ambiance. We (as Germans) liked... more

I also stayed at the ‘lodge’ with the previous reviewer “Andrew” and have to agree with his review and disagree with the Management rebuttal and the apparent, claimed ‘inaccuracies’ from the previous review. Firstly, there was no mention to me of CCTV cameras, and after trying to find the ‘duty person’ when we got back to the B&B in the... more

I stayed in the Newhaven lodge for one night on a cycle trip to Paris. I had ageed secure indoor storage for my parties bikes within the accomodation when I booked my stay. On arrival we were told to lock our bikes out the back! £2000 worth of bikes and gear stored in the rear parking area wasn't my idea... more

We would like to correct some of the inaccuracies contained in this review. This party initially made the enquiry a few months ago when we were in the process of expanding the B&B by purchasing the property next door, which would have given us the room to store the many bikes inside. However this purchase fell through and we told...

We stayed here as it was close to the ferry to Dieppe. When I arrived I asked if I could use the internet as I had received a text and had an urgent email to send. The response was "you will have to go to the library in town". Not very helpful to two weary travellers. Our room was supposed... more

As hardworking dedicated owners it is always disappointing to receive one's first negative review. We are deditcated to giving exemplary service and ensuring we continue to offer excellent value accommodation. Unfortunately, we...

a friendly, personal hotel, expertly run by the owner. Nothing was too much trouble, and the friendly approach made it a joy to stay in. Would have no hesitation in staying again and highly recommend this as a convenient venue for both ferries and a trip to brighton. more
