My Fiancé & I chose The Bell to accommodate our friends and family for our Wedding Weekend, Friday 17th-Sunday 19th May 2013. We loved the setting, the wacky luxury of the interiors and the proximity to our wedding venue. Organising our stay was easy and very efficiently managed by Lottie, who was always only an email away. Some of our... More

What a find! The Bell Inn is an amazing place to stay and eat. Found by chance when it came up on Secret Escapes but am so glad we booked. Our room was lovely - the silver birch tree, the deep copper bath, the tiles around the wash basin. So quirky! The offer we took advantage of included a 40... More

The Bell was advertised as part of a Secret Escapes deal, and online it looked like a quirky, fun but luxurious place to spend an extended weekend. I booked it as a surprise for my boyfriend, and the deal included a glass of bubbly on arrival, two 40 minute spa/therapy treatments, bed and breakfast. Unfortunately when we did arrive the... More

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday in March 2013. A friend of ours had recommended this place to us a while ago so I was really excited to finally go! I have a big love roll-top bathtubs so when we saw the rooms on the website with the copper bathtubs, I was delighted! We specifically booked 'The Benefit... More

We stayed two nights in February, the moon wild room, very impressed with room. Food was great although service not so good, had to keep trying to flag someone down for any service, Lights in the restaurant need to be changed, seriously too bright, had to move tables so as not to face them. First night were kept awake until... More

Great ambiance, interesting and quirky but a few let downs. We were here for my partners birthday having booked a special offer through Secret Escapes. The offer included a glass of fizz on arrival (which I had to chase) and a 40 minute treatment each (which I also had to chase and found that there was a complete mess up... More

We stayed at the Bell in February for two nights and had a lovely time. If you are looking for somewhere not too far from London but far enough to feel as if you are in the deep countryside this is a great place to stay. The Bell’s décor is quirky and fabulous – the entire place had a real... More

Just came back from spending a Saturday night at The Bell Inn. The whole place is lovely and very well thought through, with lots of little details which make it very special. Bedroom/bathroom very quirky and comfy (we were in Stranger than the truth room) although main radiator was not working so we had an electric one which didn't match... More

Lovely staff, quirky room, if a little noisy with passing traffic. Bathroom great with the deepest copper bath. Breakfast served in a stable which was a lot cooler than the rest of the place, however breakfast v good as was the meal in evening
