Went for a weekend break to refresh after busy period. Arrived to smell of a wood burning fire in the foyer. Excellent welcoming staff, efficient but not intrusive. Had a special deal and so room was not one of the best, at the top of the hotel but a good large room with nice bathroom and piping hot water instantly.... more

We had an absolute lovely time at Ashdown Park. My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary here. Regrettably, we were only able to get away for one night, as we'd have loved to spend more time. We went on a one-night package, which cost £340 (with VAT) that included a 25 minute massage for each partner, High tea,... more

I've just returned from an evening's stay at the Ashdown Park Hotel, which was supposed to be a quiet weekend of relaxation to celebrate an anniversary with my girlfriend. I so wish I'd read the reviews here first. I'd chosen the Romantic Getaway package that was advertised on the APH website, and had chosen to upgrade this to a room... more

I was impressed after booking a weekend at the hotel by the quick response by the hotel phoning to confirm arrival time (so champagne could be left in room on ice) and evening meal time's. However not quite so impressive to arrive and be told the booking was for only one night " Let me see if I can arrange... more

My husband and I stayed here as part of an envy experience of which I won as an award with my workplace. We were told upon our arrival that we had been upgraded to a suite which was a very nice gesture. We were booked in for afternoon tea but were told it was very busy and to try the... more

Ashdown Park has a rarified atmosphere, good leisure facilities, good dining and a high price tag. The staff are generally very helpful, the rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The location is beautiful. My one complaint was in relation to 2 members of staff at breakfast who simply hadn't a clue as to how guests should be treated. Any establishment of... more

My new husband and I visited the hotel for dinner on our honeymoon. The decor was stuffy and old fashioned - but not quite elegant enough just tired and faded, we arrived to be told there was a dress code (not told on the phone) and my husband had to wear a waiter’s jacket. We were then left in the... more

Myself and a friend stayed at Ashdown Park for one night, on their Spa Pamper package, which turned out to be amazing value. We had a one bedroom suite overlooking park land with gorgeous views. The bedroom was clean, well appointed with a luxurious bathroom full of Molton Brown products and fluffy white towels and robes. The spa itself included... more

Having stayed before my partner booked a break for my 51st Birthday. She made a point of asking for a specific window table and champagne on ice. She even saw the waiter write the details in the reservations book. We sat in the lounge drinking aperitifs with other couples and went into the restaurant only to be seated at the... more
