This hotel is pretty much the same as all Holiday Inn Express hotels throughout the UK, simple functional hotels with basic but well designed rooms. I stopped here in winter and like other reviewers found the bedding a bit lightweight for the temperature, although the heating did make up for this. This Holiday Inn Express is like any other, large rooms but service is low. Breakfast was terrible. There is a good pub next door where you can have a good diner. more

A good and efficient hotel that is perfect for a short stay (we stayed for 1 night ). Was able to check in early (13.00) and was helped by very attentive and welcoming staff. I can understand why the Express fanchise is doing so well across the UK. Would recommend and stay again. more

As far as budget hotels go, this is better than most. My room was large and appeared recently renovated. I had no problems checking in at midnight and breakfast was good considering it's complimentary. Checking out was also easy.
