This is a standard tired Holiday Inn which, I think, is expensive for what you get. Some of the staff are rather sullen and I think the place could do with a make-over. more

I recently stayed 2 nights at this hotel whilst in Brentwood on business. The hotel is just off the M25 and is easy to find as it's on the main road which runs through Brentwood. I stayed in a good sized room with sofa bed. The room was very clean and the bed comfy which are my main priorities! Bathroom... more

This place is seriously over priced for what you get! The rooms were ok. pretty standard but the Staff left alot to be desired. We had been out all day so decided to stay at the hotel bar for the night. at 10.30 we were told no more cash would be taken and we had to put a credit card... more

I was fooled by their website saying it's close to the station - it's not! For such a small town this felt like it was outside. Rooms OK but noisy at night from pipes. Again, horrible hair dryer (seems that I'm either cursed or just too picky). Leisure facilities quite OK, enjoyed one hour in the swimming pool. Breakfast price... more

We booked a room in advance, arrived at the hotel, only to be told that the only room they have got has no lights. The staff reassured us that there was no other rooms available in the entire hotel. We stuck with it and see if the room with no lights was workable, but it wasn't. After insisting that we... more

Couple with young child staying for two nights. Reception nice. Check-in smooth. Got to our room located in the 'old annex'??? and shocked at the condition of the room: Smelled of damp and faintly of vomit/sick. Window had mould on/around window and sill. Scarier still was the condition of the bathroom!: Mould everywhere. Showerhead chalked and lookes as if not... more

Hotel was in the middle of many busy roads, which made it great for getting there but quite noisy at night time (even through the windows) Had to wait 20 mintues to be given room and was not apologised to for the extended wait. Bathroom ceiling needed a complete repaint as had mould in many parts, quite disgusiting. Rooms was... more

Stayed for two nights on business. On arrival, had the common problem of other people's hairs in the bathroom, but resolved cheerfully by housekeeping. OK meal in the restaurant but some of the fish practically raw so received a discount. Next evening had one of the specials as room service - it arrived lukewarm. Sent it back and very cheerful... more

I stayed here because of the proximity to the M25 - however, that brings its own problems as the rooms are very noisy. Other than this, the room was ok - clean, comfortable bedding (duvet), although the decor was a little tired. Like many Holiday Inns, the lighting is poor, especially if you want to read or work. The Holiday... more

The hotel is pretty average with some areas looking shabby, but overall it's what you expect. The reason for my writing a review is that my car was broken into in the car park which i discovered myself at 6.45am as i had an early start. The night porter (or duty manager) was incompetent to say the least and could... more
