This place could be wonderful, but lets itself down with poor cleanliness and poor service. There was debris (dirty cotton wool and medical packaging) in one of the drawers, and when we switched on the bedside light we could see the dust and some long blond hairs attached to the lampshade ( neither of us have long blonde hair!). We didn't realise there were no ensuite facilities and there were no individual consumables, which left us in a bit of a predicament. The 'buffet' area of the dining room was non too welcoming; the teapot was stuck to the surface and having made ourselves a pot of tea (which we had been invited to do) there was no more water for anyone else to make themselves a drink. The cooked breakfast was reasonable, but we saw no staff in the dining room until the proprietor appeared with the food.
