This converted barn is an absolute architectural delight, full of natural light and style. We had a great stay. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful with swift responses and suggestions. Very easy to reach from London, it is the perfect weekend to break hectic London life and relax in the countryside. More

I returned home last week from a nine night stay at Bury Farm Bed and Breakfast. I needed somewhere near Broomfield Hospital ...what can I say....I struck gold. I stayed in the Garden Room and it was much more than I could have wished for in a bed and breakfast. The double room was quiet, spacious and very well equipped... More

We stayed at Bury Farm last weekend as we had a family wedding in Chelmsford. There were three couples in our party and we booked all three rooms. All the arrangements were made extremely easy due to Anne's efficiency - she responded to every email immediately and the details of our stay were quickly established even down to her recommendations... We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome by the very hospitable owners of this beautiful B&B in a stunning barn conversion. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though it was only for one night. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean with tasteful modern decor, and the bathroom was huge. We immediately felt relaxed in the completely peaceful setting.... More

Unfortunately we only stayed for one night but it was the nicest bed and breakfast my wife and I have ever stayed in. The owners were really friend and respected our space, yet they were incredibly friendly and made you feel at home in their company. The Barn and room was beautiful and cosy. The breakfast was perfect. Fresh, tasty,... More

Beautiful countryside in often overlooked Essex. You need a gps to negotiate these back lanes. Very welcoming indeed. Almost nothing overlooked and Anne's breakfasts 1st class. Good pubs in area include Green Man in Howe Street and the newly upgraded Pint and Pie. More

A fabulous barn conversion, we had a large king size room with an equally proportioned bathroom. Lots of little extras, and really well looked after by Anne. Great breakfast, and she even gave us a lift to the next village when she heard the local pub was closed for the evening meal we'd planned! Friendly but unintrusive cats. More

This is by far my most enjoyable experience at a B&B. Anne and John are simply delightful and with a great sense of humour. There is a lovely atmosphere at Bury Farm, the house is a masterpiece of modern, sympathetic architecture (one of my friends is an architect and he was really impressed). Breakfast was not just English, it was... More

Both my wife could not find any faults; though we tried. The owners Anne and John were both fantastic, and made is so welcome; as if we were long lost members of the family. The accommodation was superb and clearly much thought had been put into the building and the fixtures. The breakfast was 'top notch' with a wide choice... More

Fantastic spot. The B&B is meticoulosly kept by the owners, the house is massive, spotless and one of the best places we have seen around. Ann prepares the best and most delicious breakfast. We would go back over and over again no doubt. How nice to come back from a fantastic night at V Festival to a spotless room, a... More
