Beautiful countryside in often overlooked Essex. You need a gps to negotiate these back lanes. Very welcoming indeed. Almost nothing overlooked and Anne's breakfasts 1st class. Good pubs in area include Green Man in Howe Street and the newly upgraded Pint and Pie. More

A fabulous barn conversion, we had a large king size room with an equally proportioned bathroom. Lots of little extras, and really well looked after by Anne. Great breakfast, and she even gave us a lift to the next village when she heard the local pub was closed for the evening meal we'd planned! Friendly but unintrusive cats. More
