I visited here in July 2005 for a couple of nights for around £60 per night. I have to admit that I tend to try and stay in hotels that are in a chain, but on this occasion the Snows Hotel was close to where I was doing business and I figured that it would be OK for a couple of nights.
I found the hotel very easily, but even from the outside you could see that it was in need of some tender loving care. The hotel is next to a main road into Chelmsford and I was concerned that it may be noisy due to the traffic.
There was room for around 6 or maybe 8 cars at the front of the hotel, so if it is busy you may end up parking in a side street.
Upon arrival I was greeted by the very friendly owner who explained meal times and where to find my room. She was helpful and happy - always a nice first impression and explained that I was on the ground floor in one of the cooler rooms.
