The Saracens Head Hotel is very centrally located in Chelmsford town centre which is a huge positive. The hotel does have some rather unappealing downsides however. My husband & I selected this hotel as we were going to a black tie function just across the road & wanted to get ready beforehand & also not have to worry about taxis etc. The price for a double room, including breakfast, was pretty reasonable at £69 - especially when you consider this is the very centre of town.... more
