My wife and I stayed on saturday night at this Pub, which has accomodation in various buildings.

Our room was in the base of the old Windmill and the room was very nice, with all the amenities and more, than you would expect in a B&B. It was spacious and clean and even included nice extra touches like some books. Apparently our room was going to be renovated which means the other rooms must be amazing.

The Pub is set in a lovely little village, very close to the Essex Way (for long walks). There is a bar area and a restaurant on one side and the atmosphere is very cosy and traditional.

The food is superb. The amounts are generous and the quality is very high, (I recommend booking a meal there when you book the room). The staff are friendly, service good and the landlords really make you feel at home.

I am definitely recommending this to friends, and this is a superb base for exploring other towns in the area. more
