We stay at this hotel two or three times a year, on all occassions Staff could smile more and appear more interested in clients. Breakfast functional. Room was OK although corridor areas dated and in need of refurb. Overall I'd rather stay in a Travelodge, better value for money, but there isn't one in this area. more

Firstly this is advertised as £175 per night so paying £55 seems like a good deal - BUT - on arrival there is a huge board outside advertising rooms for £55. Hotel very wheelchair unfriendly, no dropped kerb outside to reach reception and you have to leave the building and come in another entrance to use the lift! Room was clean but very basic, take your own hairdryer as theirs is something from the 70s! Stayed with family for 2 nights in 2 separate rooms. Hotel had disco's on both nights which lasted to 1.30 and 12.30, these were so loud that not only did I struggle to hear the TV in the room, but the whole room vibrated. The children had no chance to sleep. Toilet door lock on the twin room was missing.... more

This follows on from my revie of the Prince Regent Hotel, Chigwell and myself and family are here whilst my house is being worked on from an insurance claim. Check in. Polite and painless.
