Stayed one night in Great Dunmow and booked into the Saracens Head Hotel. The property has been recently refurbished to a good standard. There is ample parking to the rear of the hotel. We were very pleased with our room and at £79 B&B felt that it was very reasonable. We were welcomed at check in and shown our room... More

Had a lovely night at the hotel we only stayed one night, had a great evening in the bar, have eaten in the restaurant too before which is fabulous. Hayley the manager is brilliant, she clearly runs a tight ship. We will defiantly be back!

My mum & I stayed 1 night in a twin bedded room. Rm 7. Before a wedding in nearby High Easter. Clean room, lovely beds. Great. Staff wonderful. Slight issue though for us in the room was the lack of a full length mirror. Dinner in the evening in their restaurant was ideal and having breakfast delivered to the room... More

Room was OK, bathroom was awful - tiny, old fashioned and terrible water pressure in the shower. Service was extremely patchy, they seem to be understaffed, especially at breakfast - food took up to 30 minutes to arrive. Definitely not worth the money they charge.

This hotel was, when we last stayed there in 2009, shabby and dated, with the bar frequented by the local ne'er-do-wells. Now the whole place has been completely refurbished to a high standard and the restaurant and bar area are places to want to go to rather than to avoid. To be honest the food was average, with my request... More

I have stayed at this hotel twice on business and I love it. I cant find a lot of fault really. Staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and the beds are cosy and huge. Food in the bar is good, breakfast is lovely but I have to say poached eggs were exceptional. I am happy... More
