Clean and tidy, friendly owners, nice breakfast, comfortable bed. Maybe a tenner overpriced which is why I've given it four out of five. Excellent location on the sea front near to a good Chinese restaurant and within walking distance of the happening part of Southend.

Had a nice stay here for two nights really friendly, clean, made to feel welcome, good breakfast, 15 min walk from main area of Southend so nice and quiet, a nice walk along the front. Would go back if in the area without hesitation.

My wife, baby and I stayed 2 nights at the Waverley and we had such a wonderful time. Cheryl, Steve and their young daughter were so welcoming , we felt as though we were staying with family. Stayed at the Waverley Guest House Saturday 10th March 2012 for 1 night whilst attending a friends 50th party at Ocean Beach. Location superb, Room superb, hosts brilliant and the breakfast was great... Highly recommended
