We stayed here for a long weekend with our daughters aged 18 & 15 and my father and we paid a very good price for a family room + a single room. There is a quirky strangeness about the place but that gives it charm and personalitly. I am a travel agent and have stayed in many hotels around the... more

we just stayed at Cobham Lodge and found it to be excellent for location as not too near sea front to cause noise But only a minute away to the beach, was very friendly with good staff who were extremely helpful, nice breakfast, the only thing for us was though the theme of a traditional southend hotel was good and should always retain... more

Have stayed at Cobham Lodge twice now, both occasions when my son and his mate were DJing at the Concept night at the Royal Hotel. the first time we stayed we were the only people staying there because it was out of season. Felt it was a bit like the "house that Jack built" but staff were friendly. Second time... more

I have never before seen such an sruffy place that dares to call itself 'Hotel'. In our room, wallpapers were partly hanging down, the antenna laying beside the 15 inch television and a bathroom that you prefer not to enter bar-footed. The cleaning woman should be replaced. I don't nderstand some of the other comments recently made. The breakfat was... more

i recently went to a party at the function room at the cobham lodge hotel and decided to stay for the evening, i found the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, they went the extra mile to make my stay pleasant! The rooms at the hotel where very clean and comfortable, and also reasonably priced. The function room was... more

I stayed at the cobham lodge hotel last month and what a wonderful stay. After reading the other reviews I think that maybe the hotel has been taking over by someone else. The room we stayed in for £55 was worth more. It was modern with lovely bay windows over looking the sea. The room smelled fresh and clean and... more

This place is a complete nightmare.....the decor is old and dirty, our window was sealed shut and had masking tape covering the gaping holes in the glass. There was even a lock on one of the fire exits! Do not waste your money, or risk getting bed bugs. Best of all the breakfast consisted of tinned mushrooms, a rather sad... more

Just spent the weekend at the Cobham Lodge Hotel B&B in Westcliff-on-sea as I was in town for a party. I have to say I was a bit shocked I don't think this place has been decorated since the 1970's my room had big windows with a sea view...it would have been nice had the windows not looked like they... more
