We had a disappointing night in the "cottage suite". The website suggests that this accommodation is suitable for two couples, however it fails to mention that the second couple have to sleep on an uncomfortable sofabed in the living room and share the en-suite bathroom (only accessible via the bedroom) with the other couple - far from ideal. Our rooms, lounge. bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Linen, towels, and furnishings were to a high standard,. Service was always friendly and efficient in all areas of the hotel. the management, Hari and Colin was always accessible . The Restuarant deserves its two rosette rating.!! I stayed here for a wedding. Many rooms spread out like a mini village, I had a 2 storey cottage which was excellent. Really lovely place and great food, recommended. more

We were very let down by the other hotel in the village the Wyndham Arms (see review!), and luckerly, this hotel had had one remaining room available. What a difference! Lovely, clean room and friendly, efficient staff. Breakfast was very good and we felt refreshed and ready to go to the wedding at Clearwell Castle. Definately recommend. more
