Stayed here with my partner midweek as we both work shift work and often pick hotels for a getaway Hotel is nice but looks done up on the cheap, service is very poor a surley manager who does not interact with guests Ran out of the most basic things all the time. We even overheard the lady accountant, (we asked... more

I had written a comprehensive review a few weeks ago, however I fear it has not been printed due to the depth of disgust and the level of tirade for which i'd reported. Therefore I shall keep this very brief. Everything apart from the main building in this hotel is shocking, please do not let the picture blur your thoughts... more

As you will see from the pictures, the Stonehouse Court is a beautiful building set in glorious Gloucestershire countryside with a Norman church nestling in the rear corner of the expansive gardens. On arrival we were greeted with the charming sound of the practise ringing of the church bells. Our expectations were well and truly set as we walked through... more

We stayed here with our son aged 3 years over a weekend. The room was slightly smaller than I would have liked, but the bed was HUGE and three of us fitted in it very easily. The view from the bedroom was stunning - over the well-kept grounds to the hills in the distance. It is a long distance to... more

We arranged to stay at the Stonehouse Court Hotel as a treat whilst visiting friends in Stroud - a dreadful mistake. Though the manor house offers a fantastic facade and the lobby is inviting with its roaring fire and comfy armchairs, we were led to a disapponting room in the modern wing. The carpet was greying and marked and the... more

I booked a one night stay in Stonehouse as I was travelling back from the Lake District to the south coast. I hoped for a real treat, considering the room cost me £115 for the one night in the garden wing. Unfortunately, we couldn't wait to leave. For starters, what they didn't tell me is that the garden wing is... more

I am sorry that you did not enjoy you stay at Stonehouse Court Hotel. As a privately owned hotel we have been working hard to complete the refurbishment of all our bedrooms and bathrooms. Some of bathrooms now have gorgeous roll top baths and walk in showers and we are still in the process of completing some of the garden...

This was a lovely Hotel in a good location for exploring the Cotswalds. After a day out travelling it was lovely to come back to this retreat and relax for the evening. The hotel is a beautiful old Manor and the grounds are lovely. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help you. The room... more

I stayed here while attending a wedding recently, we had room 10 which had been recently redecorated, fairly tasteful but done on the cheap. The bed was horrendous - maybe they are waiting for a replacement as they can't have left it in a refurbed room on purpose, the mattress was 4" thick, limp and lumpy. The shower was also... more

Lovely manor house with newly-built extensions which does not blend well and is vast and rather travelodge-like. Dated bedrooms with horrid bathrooms but comfortable beds and some refurbished rooms were better than other non-refurbished rooms. Unhelpful and rude staff that need some sort of training as they have obviously had no customer service training whatsoever. Breakfast selection is good (especially... more
