Overall the hotel was okay, nothing special but nothing wrong with it as well. It's in a very nice location over looking Salford Quays and was easy to find without having to brave the city center madness. It's a 3-5 mins walk to the metro link tram so easy to get into the city center. Also easy walk to the... more

As above really, the beds in this hotel are fantastic, the soft sheets especially so. I really struggle to get out of bed in the mornings when I stay here. The bathrooms are good and functional; however they are now getting a little dated - as is the decor in the rooms - and could do with updating soon. Also... more

I wasn't expecting what I found when I got to this hotel as I read Tripadvisor before going. ~All the staff we came accross were extremely friendly and helpful. ~The food was excellent (although it was pricey). ~The room has set a new standard for me (superior double room). It was huge, clean, well furnished and I wanted to take... more

We stayed at the Copthorne hotel as we were attended a Christmas party there. Our department had used the same hotel previously with good outcomes. On arrival, check in was fine if a little informal. Our room was ordinary - slightly shabby but no major problems. However the walls are paper thin - so the hysterical girls in the next... more

Very friendly and helpful catering staff. Good room service facilities and really excellent buffet breakfast. Reception staff mediocre. The hotel is expensive at normal rates, but it is worth spending a bit more for a Conoisseur Room -- a spacious well appointed room with a good view over the water. My only gripe on the cleanliness was that the toilet... more

Nice hotel, first impressions really good...however at 6.45 they started moving barrels outside our room and got a rude awakening. Who moves barrels at that time in the morning?? Not only that but the room was so hot and the radiators weren't even on! I would reccomend this hotel just not to stay in room 242! more

This was a comfortable hotel, and ideal for a weekend break. The staff were friendly and attentive. Drink prices were reasonable for a hotel, and cheaper than some of the pubs where I live! The hotel is well placed for Old Trafford, the Trafford Centre and the Lowry Gallery; and has two tram stops close by, which get you into... more

Paid £56 for a one night stay, room only basis, as we were in Manchester for a wedding... we had reasonable expectations as we have stayed in a Millennium Hotel in London and had a very good previous experience of the chain. Checked in late in the evening and went straight to bed... we were woken frequently throughout the night... more

Booked this hotel on a Weekend Break deal which included breakfast and even two drinks vouchers, On this deal it was excellent value but would be reluctant to pay full rate, Rooms are adequate but in need of a spruce up and the bar is hopelessly inadequate for the size of the hotel. Good breakfast. Tram station nearby for convenient... more
