There’s not much I can say about this hotel that did not remind me of my student days being in halls of residence. The ‘living quarters’ are separate from the actual reception and bar/eating area and security, despite the high perimeter fence, was poor. The entrance to the ‘living quarters’ although fitted with a lock appeared to be permanently on... more

We stayed here for a couple of nights in a large group for a hen party. It fulfilled the need - which was a bed, a bathroom, and a short taxi ride to the city centre. It's not pretty on arrival (almost like entering borstal) but it was clean (quite tired in most rooms), and it was so very very... more

Very poor. Like being on a school residential. Lot of foreign people there, not like its a bad thing, just stating it for reference of other travellers. Very loud - had a lot of kids running up and down corridors and could hear a lot of conversations going on through the walls. Wasnt very comfortable, bed was awful, TV was... more

Having booked this hotel in July 2007 for a two night break in December 2007 we were really disappointed. The first thing that happened was that when we arrived after a 4 hour drive we were booked into the hotel and given our rooms keys. We went to the rooms and let ourselves in to find that the room was... more

The hotel processed our check-in efficiently. We were offered breakfast, which we took for around £6 pp extra. I paid everything at check-in which meant our check-out was quick and efficient too! (including a smile) The hotel is a 15minute walk into town, and is easy to do. The car park is secure. The breakfast buffet was good, although they... more

Had an amazing stay here, it was everything me and my mum needed for a two night stay in Manchester. It was in a great location, Lowry Centre a short drive away and city centre a short walk away. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, the shower was very nice!! There were also biscuits in the room... more

I have just returned from a 1 night stay at this hotel & i really couldn't find any fault with it at all. Yes it's basic but when you are only paying 25 pppn "luxury" isn't what you are going to be getting. As previously mentoned it's basic but also it was extremely clean, room was ample big enough, the... more

Used the hotel to stay whilst visiting Old Trafford. Staff were very helpful and no problems in checking in or out at all. The rooms weren't too bad, clean enough, and although we were also slightly below the car park, there was not a great deal of traffic. I must admit, that were I to go away with my family,... more

Simply awful - don't understand the reviews! Staff were disorganised and rather unhelpful. Upon arrival, checked in no problem (although they said the room wasn't pre-paid - more on that later), went to the room through the "hostel" like annexe building to find that the room was below the car-park level, so the "view" was of the underside of some... more
