The first time we had stayed at the Campanile Manchester. The reason being that we travelled up from Surrey to watch Manchester United vs Sunderland. Overall the hotel wasnt bad for what we paid, but i think we would have stuggled to stay for any more than one night as the bar area was rather basic and could have done... more

This was a very cheap hotel -£40 for 2 people for the night so we didn't have high expectations anyway. We chose it because it is situated between the city centre and Old Trafford where we were going to watch a football match. It is pretty old and smelt of stale smoke. The room was quite small but the en-suite... more

My Husband and I booked two nights at this hotel for a weekend break. The hotel block is seperate from the reception and resturant area and based on a small retail park. Upon arrival, check-in was easy and straight forward. We were given room 305 which over looked the canal. Rooms are basic but clean and spacious, bathroom was also... more

I booked this hotel for myself & 9yr old son for 1 night due to its closeness to Old Trafford. The staff were really nice & just couldn't do enough for us. My son has some dietary requirements which I have found in the past causes a nightmare at other hotels, but the staff here were brilliant about it &... more

The purpose of our stay was to go to ManUnited football match. We stayed two nights. At the first night (Friday) the football fans were singing, shouting till 1 am. It was a bit annoying. Than at 3.30 am the fire alarm went on. But there was no fire, after 5 min everyone could return to the bed :) The... more

We've just got back after spending 2 nights here. Our main reason for travelling was to attend the football match at Old Trafford and that is why we chose this hotel - 20min walk to the ground - plus we got a good deal £34.50 per room per night. The hotel is basic - no frills - small rooms. BUT... more

This hotel is very basic, and gives you a bit of an uneasy feeling when you arrive as it has a great big green steel fence right around the hotel, the rooms we booked were clean but the TV was not working properly and was green on one side, the tap in the bathroom was lose and came off in... more

This was a great location for Old Trafford and the city centre however the hotel is not as clean as I would have expected and the staff are just ok. The food was generally good value for money but quite basic. I found sound proofing between the rooms to be below par, otherwise the rooms were ok for our needs. more

My teenage son and I stayed here for a long weekend to see a football match and do some shopping etc just needing the hotel as a base to spend each night The hotel was basic, clean and comfortable, check in was smooth and the staff pleasant and helpful. The beds were comfortable and clean and the power shower was... more

There’s not much I can say about this hotel that did not remind me of my student days being in halls of residence. The ‘living quarters’ are separate from the actual reception and bar/eating area and security, despite the high perimeter fence, was poor. The entrance to the ‘living quarters’ although fitted with a lock appeared to be permanently on... more
