This rates as without doubt the most bizarre weekend stay we've ever experienced. Imagine the hotel Jack Nicholson was looking after in 'The Shining' shabby it up a bit, and you get the idea. The smell of carpet freshener was an indicator of things to come. Small shabby room, looked as if they started refurbishment in the 1980s and never finished. Returned at 11.30pm. No staff on duty. No heat in the room. No-one to deal with it. Would have complained on check out but no-one around. Horrible experience all around. More
