Visited the pub for lunch with my family and had a lovely traditional roast. Staff were very welcoming, if a bit slow on serving us.
Saturday evening, we were 1 of only 3 tables.
Was shown wine menu for "wine by the glass".
Chose Zinfandel rosé, but was brought somethimg completely different.
Questioned if it was the wine we had asked for, as on the menu, told "yes"...
The wine was so bad we could not drink it, & when the bottle was brought over...

A very traditional English hotel in a pretty market town. The restaurant is charming, the service friendly and efficient, and the food well-cooked, well-presented, substantial and unpretentious.
