Looking for an economical bed and breakfast where we could stay during a trip for our friend's wedding, I was impressed with Wendy's helpfulness on the phone and booked a double and single room. We were delighted to find the charming house easily and, despite requesting an early midday check-in were met upon arrival with smiles and offered tea and tips on getting to the wedding venue.

Little Hayes offered excellent value. While the single room was very small this was nothing less than I'd expected after being well-informed when I'd booked. The double room was extremely spacious and provided all of the facilities that you would expect. I belive a general updating of the rooms and decor is planned, which would really put a shine on the whole stay.

The guest house is located on one of the main roads as you enter Lyndhurst and we queued briefly in traffic on our way in - bearing in mind this was out of season. My room overlooked the road, but I slept well and wasn't... more
