Stayed here mid week, greeted by very friendly staff. Room was very spacious and clean and had good views across to the new forest. Italian just down the road is well worth a visit too. Would definitely stay again.

This is the second time we have stayed at Rufus house. This time we stayed with our two children who had a great time running around the open spaces of the new Forrest. We stayed in one of the turret rooms and it was excellent. Very welcoming and attentive hosts. Lovely location - very short walk into Lyndhurst - forest walks from the door. The Italian restaurant a few doors along is worth visiting. The deserts looked very impressive.

Rufus House is a lovely building with Lyndhurst a short walk away. Good Italian restaurant nearby. The room was comfortable and clean with views of the new forest and ponies over the road. Ernesto and Etsuko were friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. I will happily stay there again and recommend it to others.

The B&B is a lovely building 5 minutes walk from Lyndhurst High Street with two car parks. We received a lovely warm welcome from the hosts who offered to swap the pre-allocated second floor room on sight of my elderly mother, as they were concerned that she would have to climb two flights of stairs. We visited Lyndhurst on Friday 26th April for a Wedding and needed to stay for just the Friday night. The room was excellent. It was spotless and roomy with a good comfortable bed and we had facilities for coffee and tea. My wife and I had a very good stay, the hotel is very clean well furnished with character and breakfast excellent although we did not realise that non meal option on booking.com mean't breakfast not included. We had a great indian at the Curry Leaf which is a short walk away but don't over order as the portions are generous
