Nice building and surroundings but poor service. Over heard owners arguing, didn't sound a very pleasant couple and not very impressed. I found a dog hair in my soup, presumably from the owners dog that is left to roam freely around the hotel - what kind of zoo is this? more

A lovely old hunting lodge situated in pleasant grounds with easy access to the New Forest. Lovely couple that run it, friendly staff and great food. Highly recommended. Pleasant rooms decorated with antique furniture and wonderful roll top bath in our suite. more

At first glance this was a lovely large old hunting lodge hotel. Beautiful long drive way with hedges eitherside, huge garden. Got to the reception to find it deathly quiet. Two old codgers eating soup in the really old bar/dinning area. Had to ring the bell to get attention. It was a lovely lady that showed us to a room.... more
