A lovely place to enjoy a short break. The staff, without exception, were pleasant, helpful and very efficient - nothing was too much trouble. The food in Monty's Inn was very good indeed and as for the Terrace Restaurant (Michelin star) - positively wonderful. The whole atmosphere was comfortable, welcoming and we will certainly stay here again. More

When the weathers cold sometimes its nice to go away last minute. We turned up at this hotel and managed to get a beautiful 4 poster last minute, reasonable value. We had a lovely nights stay and only wish that we could have stayed longer. More

Check in was efficient. Room was warm. Had 2 en-suitres which was a bit odd. Decor and soft furnishings a little bit dated. Breakfast was good and service was excellent. More

This lovely hotel is a typical quintessentially English country hotel, offering 'Michelin-Starred' food and wonderful accommodation. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much bother. They also never forget a face! Can't wait to return, again!! More

Stayed at the Montague Arms as a 70th birthday treat! Had the taster menu for the evening meal. The service by the restaurant manager (cedric) was second to none!
