We recently attended a family members wedding here. The setting was fine but found the service and attitude of the proprietors to be terrible. The staff themselves are wonderful although I doubt they will be the same ones that we met as I can't imagine anyone working there for long (I certainly wouldn't).Just a couple- well 3 really- of examples (of many) of the attitude of the owners, we were trying to hire costumes which had been pre booked, and were told at one point that " for goodness sake we (the staff) have to get changed as well you know", and the groom specifically asked that a speech in a small play acting role not be used, this was totally disregarded and quite upset him (who wants the word rape mentioned at their wedding), and finally a pregnant guest asked if the cream in the desert was pasturised (we had been told all day that it was authentic medieval fare) the owner came to the table rolled her eyes and very rudely stated that all of the food was safe to eat... more
