Family of five went for Dinner on Boxing Day. The food was awful, Prawn Cocktail was tasteless, main courses were also poor, e.g. Salmon extremely overcooked and vegetables seemed as if they had been hanging around all day. Spent most of the meal fighting off a number of flies. Wont go back. more
awful food - just the worst pub food you can get. I ordered a burger which was burnt. Not served with any relish/mayo/cheese/bacon just a dried burger (and a crap one at that) on cheapo burger bun. We stood in the restaurant waiting for someone to approach us. I can't comment on the hotel but the restaurant was noisy with people rushing around with nowhere to go - but the 20/30 age group appeared to love it. - We left !!! more
Now called "The Two Brewers" not only the name has changed civil, but blunt service. The wonderful menu is NO more it is a member of the Chef & Brewer chain and has a typical modern pub menu. We stayed at the 2 brewers in June 2009. The room was fine, - clean and comfortable. But the staff were probably the most unhelpful that i have ever had the misfortune to come across. Although the main menu is standard throughout all Chef and Brewers of this type, the chef's specials are unsurpassed. The food is always excellent, well presented and great tasting.
