Arguably the best leisure centre in any hotel we have been in. Great pool & good gym only spoilt by the jobsworth attendant to signed in my wife & son, gave them towels and then, just as they entered the water, told them that children were not allowed in the pool after 6pm. The hotel wasn't as good. Our room... more

I was doubtful about booking this hotel after reading other reviews especially the more recent one, I booked last minute and had enjoyed fantastic service from start to finish, we only stayed one night but were treated as if we had been coming for years, we ate in the restaurant which was fantastic, good choice of meals to suit all... more

Booked for one night following wedding party, arrived late and quicky ushered to twin rom on second floor. The floorboards and bed squeked and I was unable to have a restful sleep in a very average room. In my shattered state I decided to have a shower approx 08.15 in the morning and there was no hot water, so I... more

Stayed at the hotel for one night. The room was a very good size. I had a double room for single occupancy. The bathroom also was a very good size. Ample car parking, two car parks. The room was well heated and very comfortable. Plenty of coffee tea etc. and seating area. Had a meal in the bar. Excellent value... more

I am afraid our experience at the Burton was not a good one, needing a good nights sleep away from our three kids I rang the Burton and asked for a quiet room so we could relax, I explained that we were escaping the children and just wanted some peace and quiet.! Upon arriving at the Hotel we were told... more

Kington struck me as a small town stuck in the middle of the last century. The only chain store amongst the shops on the high street is a Spar and the supermarket round the back is a Co-op! The hotel, which is just off the High Street, fits well into this context. Although much of the building is old, it... more

The Burton is a pleasant country hotel in a pleasant small market town and the Staff were particularly attentive and efficient and the food was of a high country standard. The rooms are what one would expect in the average country Hotel but plans are in place to build additional suites on the rear car park. If the new suites... more

We enjoyed an excellent weekend at the Burton. First impressions of the front of the Hotel were not encouraging but, once inside, we found the new leisure complex to be quite exceptional. Pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and gym - the best facilities we've ever seen. The staff were helpful and friendly and the evening meals were really good. more

We booked into the Burton Hotel for three nights mid-week over two months before our stay, specifically requesting a quiet room and very much looking forwards to using the pool and spa. As the previous review mentioned at £88 per night, we were expecting good things. We ended up only staying for one night as the room we were allocated... more

I have quite mixed views about this hotel - but the health spa and pool are really excellent and make the difference if you value such facilities. Stayed here recently for a long weekend. The hotel is three star rated by the AA. Around these parts accommodation is mostly (very nice and quite expensive ) B&Bs but very few of... more
