I am a careful guy. My flight was expected to get in at 9 but I still checked that the Stansted Guest House had a late check-in. I requested a late check-in upon booking. Positive points: room clean, and very well decorated. Friendly welcoming. Negative points: don't think to go there by walk... it is very insecure because no side pavement (15mn). Rooms very noisy (if you have a quiet neighboor it's ok, but if you have someone noisy, it's the hell... you can't sleep at all). Shuttles only hourly. more
Fantastic little find near Stansted Airport - 5 mins drive away. This is a homely place near to Stansted - the room we stayed in was very spacious (1 double and 2 singles). We stayed overnight very recently. The guest house was very clean and welcoming. Just a couple of niggles. This place refused to let us in to leave our luggage, despite the fact that it had been discussed and was agreed upon via email a month earlier, when we made our reservation, and we had called that morning, emailed the previous day, and went there via taxi in person on the day of our reservation. Firstly, We must stress, we neither saw or have ever spoken to the guest, therefore HOW could we have refused to take his luggage or been difficult as per his review and we must stress that later in his review he confirms this by saying he didn't find anyone here. The guest was very aware that we close at 23.30, both before they booked and when they received there confirmation. They phoned at 00.20, to say they were at passport control and still had luggage to collect. This would mean that the very earliest they would have got to us would be 01.00am.
