My wife and I grew up on the island so it's always a joy to go back. This small friendly hotel was a real find The owners looked after us and we felt most welcome. The food was first class especially the breakfasts which set us up for the day. The rooms are all different ours had a four poster... more

I sail in and out of Cowes and very often use the visitors berths at east Cowes marina. Last weekend my wife after a very wet and bumpy sail over said "enough". the marina recommended Crossways House and we bookd a room with dinner for the night. And a very pleasant experience it was, David very graciously picked us up... more

We've stayed at Crossways Guest House twice before while visiting our family in Cowes. We would always return because for service and value, they can't be beaten. We like that our room is so clean and comfortable and warma nd we both love the breakfasts. It's a special treat each morning to enter the bright and cheerful dining room with... more

I can't say enough about my stay at Crossways. The food was so good, you looked forward to every meal. The rooms are sumptious and so comfortable. Marde and Dave go over the top to make you feel at home. Great location to go for nice walks to explore the countryside. more

I stay at Crossways regularly when I am working on the Isle of Wight and feel as though it is a home from home! All the rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished, spotlessly clean with bright, modern bathrooms. There is WiFi access in each room so you can stay connected. In summer the patio area outside, next to the garden,... more

Crossways House was a outstanding treat after spending 2 days in London in a shoebox of a room. When I arrived I was greeted by the hosts Marde and Dave. Marde showed me to my room and I felt like the queen. The room was big and decorated so nicely, with a huge bathroom with all the things you might... more

We feel there must be a caveat about this property. Generally speaking, reviews are positive about Crossways; our experience was the opposite - but we didn't stay in the main house. We were in one of the four "lodge" rooms in a corner of the grounds. Go onto Google Earth, put in the Post Code, and you will find these... more

Thank you for your review and we're very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay. We are located on York Avenue, as are almost all of the accommodation providers here, but we have taken steps to soundproof the rooms. Many of the positive and enthusiastic reviews on this site are from people who have stayed in the lodge. We would...

I stayed here for a 1 night business trip recently and just had to write on here about how lovely this place is. Although I was only at Crossways for a short period of time I found the owner David to be so very welcoming and willing to help with whatever you need. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable... more

We stayed at Crossways House for 3 nights. Our host David was very pleasant and attentive. It was a shame we never met Marde but she was always whipping up wonderful food in the kitchen. We always had our cookie tin replenished with freshly baked cookies each day. It was lovely to get a home-made cream tea on arrival. We... more

Lovely comfortable hotel. Our en-suite room was attractively decorated, spacious and with a four-poster bed. In addition to TV there was a DVD player and radio with CD player; DVD's and CD's were available to borrow. The food was excellent and mostly sourced locally with vegetables from the garden. We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again. more
