This was our third visit to the Farringford Self Catering Holiday Village, and it exceeded my expectations - again. We stayed for two weeks in May, 2011, in one of the newly renovated Alfred Cottages. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage, the fully equipped kitchen and the modern bathrooms, not to mention the wood-burning fireplace complete... More

Set in fabulous grounds a variety of self catering units, clean comfortable but location on island wasn't the best. You must have a car to make this location work! Most units are prefabs not the prettiest of cottages, but they have been nicely painted to try and add some colour to what would overwise be fairly drab! More

The Farringford cottages have been renovated to the highest standard, they are light & airy with everything you need. The surroundings are beautiful with many walks, short or long, around the estate, through the farm or over the Tennyson Downs to the sea. We had a lovely meal at the Garden restaurant on the terrace with beautiful sunset. We used... More

We used to stay here when the children were small and the hotel was still open so it was interesting to go back. The cottages have certainly been upgraded from then - very clean and fresh. The grounds and surrounds as lovely as ever. We have a dog so it was ideal for walks or just a trip round the... More

We were reluctant to book because of the lack of information on the website and actually only booked because of the photo's on Trip Advisor!! There is no Hotel because the main house is being renovated but you can book two bedroom cottages (with double & twin rooms) Most of the accommodation on the Isle of Wight is very dated... More

We stayed at the Farringford Hotel Cottages from May 15, 2010 to May 22, 2010, and it was definitely the best holiday we have ever taken, and we live in the beautiful foothills region of Canada, having travelled to Hawaii, Italy, Ecuador, Mexico and the Galapagos Islands. We were warmly welcomed by the manager and, she made sure we had... More

yes ok the decor in places is a tad tired, but the character and atmosphere are out of this world, you almost expect lord tennyson to appear himself. We stayed overnight and had a beautiful spacious room, with a four poster, the bathroom was a bit antiquated, but very clean, as was all the hotel. Really had a lovely time.... More

The self catering suites had recently been refurbished and had everything you would need for a break away for the hussle and bussle of every day life, even with the kids :) The hotel had closed for refurbishment but the stunning Manor grounds and numerous walks are there for all to enjoy, as was the odd round of golf. Its... More
