We booked a 3 night stay here but ended up staying just one night ! On arrival we were met by Susan who welcomed us into the lounge of this old interesting house. After showing us to our room (which was nice and warm on a very cold day), she explained she was going to be very busy in the... More

Dear Mr Smith, We share your disappointment and frustration with the national grid. Unfortunately we are powerless, quite literally sometimes, to do anything about it. If only it was as simple as making a call to the electricity company. The power was off throughout one half of the high street, these things happen to us all from time to time. It... More

Stayed overnight as eating at the West House - directly opposite from the restaurant which was extremely convenient. No problem having a key to come in later as we had a late booking to eat. Beautiful house and immaculately clean. We were visiting as a group of friends and took 3 bedrooms, all of us found it very comfortable, clean... More

Don't be put off by some of the minor moaners on other reviews. The Tudor Cottage is a delight. Lovely clean room and spotless bathroom. Yes, it is a small bathroom with sloping ceilings, but what do you expect from a Tudor cottage? Susan is very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for her. Would definitely visit again.

Having arranged a meal at the West House, we decided to stay at the delightfully looking Tudor Cottage after reading so many positive reviews. Throughout the booking process, Susan, the proprietor, kept us duly informed with great communications over the horrid winter weeks. On arriving at the cottage, we were greeted with much enthusiasm and friendliness from the wonderful Susan,... More

We stayed at Tudor Cottage for the weekend specifically to visit the The West House for a special meal. We weren't disappointed both were superb! We had a fantastic meal at the West House where we had the tasting menu with the selected wines. We were warmly welcomed at the lovely Tudor Cottage. Everything was perfect and we all had... More

My family and I went to visit some friends in Tenterden, we decided to make a weekend of it, and stayed at the wonderful Tudor Cottage for three nights. What a delightful stay we enjoyed. We discovered Tudor Cottage online, and was very impressed by the website, which gives very clear pictures and information. Upon arrival we were even more... More

The title of this review refers to comments made by BuffyKent and our host's similarities to Basil Fawlty. Based on our recent experience, we can only agree, the one exception being that Basil was over 6 ft. and Susan is barely 5 ft. We were looking for one night at a B&B near Ashford. My husband is over 6 ft.... More

My wife and I stayed 7 lovely days in September 2012 at Tudor Cottage and found it to be excellent on all counts. Susan our host was most welcoming and gave us advice on local attractions, which are plentiful and close by. The room was lovely and clean with nice views and was always immaculately tidy when we returned each... More

My wife and I stayed for 6 wonderful nights in the nicely decorated and spacious Ashley room. The room was perfectly clean. The interior shows the owner’s love for playful details. The newly modernized bath room is small yet functional. I didn’t mind taking a relaxing bath in the tub, as the roof wouldn’t allow me standing for a shower.... More

An essential ingredient of a meal at Graham Garrett's exceptional The West House is an overnight stay at the delightful Tudor Cottage. Biddenden is a charming village in the heart of the Kentish Weald and the nearby town of Tenterden offers good shopping and other necessary facilities. In fact a look in local Estate Agents may encourage a move to... More
