The staff here were very friendly and efficient, the best I have encountered at a Travelodge for a long time. However this in no way compensated for the state of the room. It wasn't dirty or smelly but it was shabby and the bathroom equally grubby. A saving grace was that the room had not been baked in the Summer... more

This is the worst travelodge we stayed at. The staff were friendly but the room smelt, and the bathroom had mould in the shower. Only stay if you can get a cheap price for the room more

This was a very odd place and reminded me of the Simpsons Halloween Special episode 'Treehouse of Horror 3'where Homer buys a cursed Krusty the Clown doll from the House of Evil... It's the whole 'Here's a doll' = That's good, 'The doll is cursed' = That's bad, 'The doll comes with a free yoghurt' = That's good, 'The yoghurt... more

Bathroom had mould growing everywhere. Paint falling off the walls. No heating in bathroom as towel rail had been disconnected 'for our safety' - what about our comfort? 'Hot' water barely warm. No hot food to be had anywhere, apart from Burger King at the service station - thanks but no thanks! Didn't expect the Ritz but expected it to... more

This was the fourth night of our Kent trip, the first three were at the Ashford Travelodge. We paid £9 for the room, so it was a bargain, but I would hesitate to pay full price. The toilet had urine drip stains all around the outside (could smell it in the room) and some brown stains I'd rather not dwell... more

The extremely friendly staff are the only positive point about this Travelodge. If anyone is unfortunate enough to be offered the full £55 rate for this room - forget it! No glass in the corridor fire doors, broken safety catches on the first floor windows, slippery and dangerous bath areas sum up our experience here. Even if the £15 rate... more

We have stayed here quite a few times and each time it seems that there are a few more problems. We have stayed in the room with the hole in the wall, had a TV that didn't work and this last time noticed that the glass was missing from a fire door. The staff are always friendly in trying to... more

Paid £50 for 1 night stay, booked directly on travelodge website. Now I know these are basic hotels, but this really isn't the usual travelodge standards which are no-frills, but good for a (cheap) bed for the night. This hotel is tired and in need of a good clean. The first room we were given absolutely stank of smoke, even... more
